Unfortunately the atmosphere we live and breathe, especially the air inside our homes, is not one hundred percent pure. With the countless hazardous substances in the atmosphere, the use of an air purifier has become a necessity.
It is often thought that the benefit of an air-purifier is nothing more than your house smelling of fresh flowers or something of that sort. Sure, that is one of the things that air purifiers can do in the vicinity of its presence but its main purpose is much greater and much more important. While the advantages of an air purifier are numerous, I would like to highlight the top five of them here.
1. Air purifiers have efficient and complex filter systems inside them which work to effectively remove many substances in the air that cannot be seen with the naked eye. These substances are capable of causing mild and serious breathing difficulties in individuals of all ages. Hazardous substances include tobacco smoke, cat litter dust, indoor pesticides, aerosols, dust and more.
2. There are certain volatile organic compounds which are found as key constituents of many household products such as paint, varnish, glues, cleaning supplies and so forth. These compounds namely formaldehyde, ethylene and benzene can cause irritation in the eyes, nose, throat and airways and can even cause serious and long term damage to the nervous system. These compounds are cleared from the air by purifiers.
3. Purifiers clear many pathogenic microorganisms from the atmosphere such as bacteria, molds, viruses and so forth.
4. Air purifiers reduce the number of dust particles and other substances that can irritate the lungs thus protecting individuals with asthma from attacks.
5. People with weak immune systems will remain protected from seasonal illnesses to a great extent if their household has a purifier installed in it.
